Getap (“Extension”, “we”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data is processed by Getap, how it works, and what control you have.

Summary

  • Main purpose: a sidepanel to help generate API keys (Google AI Studio) and auto-create projects (Google Cloud Console) via browser automation.

  • We do not sell, share, or monetize your personal data.

  • No third-party tracking or analytics.

  • Data such as API keys or configurations remain local to your device, unless you explicitly choose to sync via Chrome Sync.

Data We Process

  • We do not collect personal information such as your name, email, address, or phone number for our business purposes.

  • We do not transmit API keys, tokens, project IDs, or console page contents to any external servers owned by us.

  1. Data processed locally in your browser

  • Page content on Google domains (console.cloud.google.com, aistudio.google.com) is read locally to detect relevant forms, perform clicks, and display generated API keys.

  • Extension settings are stored in chrome.storage.local or chrome.storage.sync (if enabled). Chrome Sync data is secured by Google.

  1. Logs & debugging

  • Logs are stored locally only. We do not upload logs automatically. If you send logs to us via email, it is your choice.

Site Access & Permissions

To function, Getap requires read/write access to the DOM of specific Google pages:

The extension does not access websites outside the approved host permissions you grant on installation.

Permissions Used

  • activeTab / scripting: to run automation scripts on the active Google Cloud/AI Studio tab.

  • storage: to store extension settings and preferences.

  • Host permissions: to interact with Google Console/AI Studio pages.

We use the minimum permissions necessary. Any new permissions in future versions will require your approval.

How We Use Data

  • Perform local browser automation (form filling, navigation, clicks).

  • Display results such as generated API keys or project info.

  • Save user preferences (optionally synced via Chrome).

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or resale.

Data Storage & Retention

  • API keys and sensitive info are not stored unless you enable “save locally/sync”.

  • You can delete stored data anytime via extension settings, Chrome settings, or by uninstalling the extension.

  • Local data remains until you clear it or remove the extension.

Security

  • All processing happens locally in your browser.

  • If Chrome Sync is enabled, data is secured by Google.

  • We recommend: keeping your API keys private, enabling 2FA on your Google account, and rotating API keys regularly.

Children’s Privacy

Getap is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have such data, contact us for deletion.

Compliance

  • We aim to comply with Indonesia’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 27/2022).

  • If Getap integrates with Google OAuth/Google API Services in the future, we will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy (Limited Use).

  • View, modify, or delete stored extension data via extension settings.

  • Remove extension data via Chrome settings or by uninstalling the extension.
